EA888 Gen3 engine is a four-cylinder gasoline engine developed by the Volkswagen Group and code-named the EA888 Gen3. The engine is a complete upgrade over the second-generation EA888, incorporating a number of innovative technologies to meet Euro 6 emissions regulations and reduce fuel consumption (CO2 emissions).
